Cedaredge
The town of Cedaredge is a home rule municipality located in Delta County, Colorado and was officially incorporated by a few ranchers on March 25, 1907. Situated beneath Grand Mesa’s southern slopes in the Surface Creek Valley, Cedaredge’s vantage point and elevation lends breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains and parts of the Gunnison National Park, namely the Black Canyon.
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of nearby cities like Delta and Grand Junction, Cedaredge has one main highway running through it – State Highway 65, which runs North to South from Interstate 70 to Delta. Surface Creek runs through the town, roughly parallel to the highway.
Built around agriculture, Cedaredge is a community that produces peaches, apples, beef cattle, and even wine. Due to its beauty and elevation, Cedaredge and the surrounding area is home to its share of attractions such as Cedaredge Golf Club and Pioneer Town.
As of the 2020 United States Census, the population of Cedaredge is 2,279. Schools in the area include Cedaredge Elementary School, Cedaredge Middle School, and Cedaredge High School.
