Cowan Cares: Community Partners Across Colorado’s Western Slope
Cowan Home Team Loves the Western Slope
Selling real estate on Colorado’s Western Slope isn’t just a job for us — it’s how we get to participate in a place we love. The trails we ride, the rivers we float, the neighborhoods our clients put down roots in: all of it is built and protected by people who care deeply about this region.
Cowan Cares is our way of recognizing the local nonprofits and community organizations doing that work — and committing to support them with our time, our membership dues, and our voice.
Below are the organizations we’re proudly partnered with right now. The list will grow as we find more ways to give back to the Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Delta, and broader Western Slope communities.
Our Community Partners
COPMOBA — Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association
Mesa-level Business Member
Founded in 1989, COPMOBA is a member-supported nonprofit of volunteer mountain bikers who advocate for, build, and maintain sustainable singletrack across Colorado’s Western Slope. The organization operates through four local chapters — Grand Valley Trails, Delta Area Mountain Bikers, Montrose Uncompahgre Trails, and Ridgway Area Trails — and counts more than 425 members.
In 2025 alone, COPMOBA volunteers contributed over 3,400 hours and built more than six miles of new trail across the region, including ongoing work on the Lunch Loop Bike Park rebuild in partnership with the City of Grand Junction.
Every property we help sell in Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, or out toward Delta sits within riding distance of trails COPMOBA volunteers built. We joined as a Mesa-level Business Member in 2026 because supporting the people who maintain those trails is one of the most tangible ways we can give back to the place that makes our work possible.
